Canson Arches Aquarelle Rag

ARCHES® Aquarelle is recognized by artists as one of the most prestigious watercolour papers with a history that spans many centuries. ARCHES® master papermakers have been producing very high-quality fine art papers since 1492, and today ARCHES® is the only paper mill in France using a traditional cylinder mould process for all its papers, including ARCHES® Aquarelle Rag. Using the traditional watercolour base, the paper has an even natural grain and a felt-marked finish. ARCHES® Aquarelle Rag is manufactured using 100% cotton which contributes to the paper’s natural beauty and feel. The pure white base does not contain any optical brightening agents (OBAs).

Production of Fine Art Prints & Cards

I work with three different printing companies:
The first one has its seat in the UK. Their in-house manufacturing facilities are located in the UK, the US and mainland Europe, supported by a global network of print on demand fulfillment partners around the world. If you order my `Landscapes´ Print products (excluded the large `Metamorphosis`) from Europe, the production would be in the Netherlands. If you order from other parts of the world, the production will be as close to your address as possible.
The unframed Hahnemühle Fine Art Giclee-Prints are part of their eco and sustainable wall art collection:
*water based ink *plastic free *sustainably sourced paper or wood *local fulfillment
My mounted and framed `Landscapes´ Print products (excluded the large Artwork `Metamorphosis`) are produced with *water based ink and * sustainably sourced paper or wood.

The second print partner is located in Germany and produces my large unframed & framed `Net of Life`-Fine Art Giclee-Prints, plus `Metamorphosis´. Their high-Quality lab has won many awards and officially holds the title "Best Photo Lab Worldwide."
Everything from the solvent-free print to the frame & the alu-dibond is produced in their lab in Frechen/Germany. Concerning the origin of the basic materials they use, they say that they source “as locally as possible“ and „strictly reject any products involving child labour“.

My third print partner is located in Germany, France, Belgium and the Netherlands. They print & produce my Art Cards, envelopes, stickers & Cards2Magick in their lab in Oss in the Netherlands. All materials are resourced as sustainable as possible.

Material & Production of the Luxury Boxes

The beautiful boxes for my art cards are produced by an amazing UK-company, who produce in the UK and offer an outstanding eco-transparancy. They are specialists in eco-friendly and sustainable gift packaging.Their manufacturing processes involve a combination of handmade
techniques and modern state of the art box manufacturing processes. All materials are ressourced sustainable.

The white boxes have 80% recycled content, are sustainably sourced and biodegradeable, compostable & recyclable.

My logo on the front is a foil print, the foil being recyclable & repulpable and 99% vegan friendly. They are hand printed, hand checked and hand packed.

The foam inlay in the boxes are 100% recycable.

Frames

Material of Frames

Frames of the small-middle sized `Landscapes´ Prints (excluding `Metamorphosis´) are made from FSC-certified & sustainably sourced wood.

The mats are made from a textured mountboard that is "conservation grade", FSC
certified, 100% acid free, and will not discolour or fade with age.

The premium moth-eye glaze features a revolutionary coating made from a special type of anti-reflective thin film, creating a stunning, no-glass effect.

All the parts of a framed product - including the perspex glaze are produced in the print lab, and all supplieres have passed quality & eco-standards.

Frames of the large `Net of Life´ & `Metamorphosis´ Prints:

The Fine Art Print in solid Wood ArtBox has a 3 mm thick aluminum Dibond backing. Dibond aluminum consists of two thin layers of aluminum which encase a black polyethylene core. The frame itself is made of 3 mm thin, white coated Marple wood.
The Fine Art Pigment Print under Acrylic Glass with Wooden Frame also has an aluminium Dibond backing, and a 2 mm thick matte acrylic glass on the front. The 20mm thick wooden frame has a whitematte coat.
The information I get from this print lab about the origin of the materials they use, is that they source “as locally as possible“ and „strictly reject any products involving child labour“.

Production of Frames

All frames of the `Landscape´ Prints (excluding `Metamorphosis´) are handmade locally by specialist picture framers. Locally means: as close to your home address as possible. When ordering from Europe, the frames are produced in the Netherlands. If you order from other places in the world, they have a global network of printing partners around the world to produce as locally as possible.

All frames of the `Net of Life´ plus the `Metamorphosis´ Prints are produced in Germany. These are handmade Museum-Quality Frames that you will love!

Mats

Mats

All mounts are "conservation grade", sustainably sourced, 100% acid free, and will not discolour or fade with age. Produced in Europe if you order within Europe. Outside of Europe the mats are produced as near to your home address as possible, as the Print Company has partner labs across the globe.
